La méthionine

Dans sa forme naturelle, la L-méthionine est un acide aminé protéinogénique. Elle appartient au groupe des acides aminés essentiels, et ne peut pas être synthétisée par l'organisme. Par conséquent, un apport suffisant au travers de l'alimentation ou de compléments alimentaires est essentiel.

Des composants soufrés sont présents chez tous les êtres vivants, et présentent une grande variété de fonctions. En dehors de la cystéine, la méthionine est le seul acide aminé soufré. En outre, la méthionine joue un rôle important dans la synthèse de nombreuses protéines primordiales telles que la carnitine ou la mélatonine. La méthionine permet de dissoudre les graisses, et limite le dépôt de graisses dans le foie;La méthionine fortifie les ongles et aide à prévenir la perte de cheveux; La méthionine contribue à la formation du cartilage.

Adding amino acids in animal feed meets the demand for animal protein, improving feed utilization. It may also reduce stress in animals. As a animal feed additive, it plays a significant effect for Amino acids, because of its  high price, it should be a reasonable choice, not to affect the quality of feed, reducing in economic losses.

1.It should be careful observe, identify and judge the packaging, appearance, odor, color, etc during the selection of such additives,  no use the product with doubting.

2. Amino acids are usually used in livestock feed additive, especially in the developmental stages of young animals, and sheep and other ruminants can use amino acids since the microbial synthesis,  there is no distinguish between amino acids and non-limiting limiting , generally do not use amino acid feed additive.  It is still controversial for Aquatic animal utilization of chemical synthesis of amino acids , therefore, It is better to carefull use aquatic feed.

3. During the use of amino acids in the feed, it should first consider the first limiting amino acid, and then turn to consider other limiting amino acids. Because there is a feature for animals use of amino acids that only the first limiting amino acids are satisfied, the second and the other limiting amino acids can get a better use. The first limiting amino acid lysine in pigs, the second limiting amino acid methionine; and the first limiting amino acid methionine chickens and other poultry, the second limiting amino acid lysine.
